Robosharp issues in WIndows 7

description

So I built an app using Robosharp that's a .net 4.5 app, and it works perfectly in windows 8. However, in windows 7 it begins the file copy process, and then in the status section where it usually display the file being copied, it just shows **** /MIR can DELETE files as well as copy them !

Looks like it just putting up a commented section from the DLL, but I've got no idea what would be different between win7 and win8 that would cause this. .Net 4.5 and Powershell 4 are installed on both machines, and I have the dll bundled in the app when I publish. Any ideas?

I have seen this issue when trying to use RoboSharp without administrator privileges on some machines. Try run as administrator.

So I figured it out, turns out Windows 8 robocopy has new options that windows 7 version doesn't have. Was trying to use unbuffered IO option, and that doesn't exist in win7 so it was crapping out. At least I finally figured this out, was driving me nuts! Now to get everyone to upgrade! :P
